App Studio Privacy Policy

App Studio is operated by Hyperscale Consulting Ltd ("we", "us" and "our"). This policy explains how we use personal information when you visit thehyperscale.io, create or use an App Studio account, build an application, buy credits or use managed hosting.

Information we collect

  • Account and contact details: your name, email address, organisation and messages to us.
  • Billing information: transaction, subscription and invoice details. Our payment provider processes card details.
  • App Studio content: the ideas, instructions, project documents, code, files and other content you submit or create.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser, device, security logs, errors and service usage.
  • Hosted application data: data processed through an application you choose to host with us.

How we use information

We use information to provide and secure App Studio, process payments, operate managed hosting, answer support requests, prevent misuse, meet legal obligations and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.

Our legal bases

We process information where it is needed to perform our contract with you, meet a legal obligation, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, or where you have given consent.

Service providers and international transfers

We use vetted providers for cloud infrastructure, payments, communications, analytics and AI processing. They may process information outside the UK. Where required, we use recognised safeguards for international transfers.

AI processing

Instructions and project content may be sent to AI providers to produce the results you request. Do not submit information you do not have permission to use. Provider access is limited to delivering and protecting the service under our agreements.

Analytics and cookies

We use privacy-conscious analytics to understand service use and diagnose problems. Essential storage may be used for authentication and security. You can control non-essential browser storage through your browser settings.

Retention

We keep account, transaction and communication records only as long as needed for the service, security and legal obligations. If a hosted subscription ends, hosted application data is retained for 30 days and then deleted unless law requires longer retention. Back-up copies may take additional time to expire securely.

Security

We use access controls, encryption, monitoring and secure development practices appropriate to the information we process. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or transfer your personal information, and to object to some processing. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Your customers' data

If your application collects personal information, you are responsible for telling your users how it is used and for having an appropriate lawful basis. Where we host that application on your instructions, we act as your processor for that data.
